Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Teleprompter: Free (“the app”, “we”) is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account system, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising. We do not have servers that receive your data. We cannot see your scripts, your recordings, or how you use the app.
Data that stays on your device
- Scripts. Any script you write or save is stored locally on your device only.
- Preferences. Settings such as scroll speed, font size, and text color are saved locally on your device.
- Recordings. Videos you record are saved to your own Photos library when you choose to save them. They are never uploaded to us or any third party.
Device permissions
To function, the app asks for the following permissions. Each is used solely on your device to provide the feature described:
- Camera — to show the live preview and record video.
- Microphone — to capture audio with your recordings.
- Photos (add only) — to save a finished recording to your library when you tap Save.
You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. The app never accesses your camera, microphone, or photos for any purpose other than the ones above.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any. The app does not embed third-party advertising or analytics. The App Store itself may collect standard download and diagnostic information governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
